Comic and game shops have a lot of ways we shelve products. Staff picks, featured sections, kids books versus superhero books. The Shelf Location tags can help you keep all of this documented and direct new employees to put books back on the shelf in the way you prefer.
Within each item's TAGS tab, you can add tags to the SHELF LOCATIONS tag category.
You can use these tags to do some magic in reporting and other places, but the feature they were made for is making a GO BACKS MAP.
From any locked invoice, click INVOICE ACTIONS and find the CREATE GO BACKS MAP button.
From the GO BACKS MAP, you'll find a list of all items on the invoice and where they can live on a shelf. For anything that does not have a shelf location defined, you can add up to three by clicking the ADD SHELF LOCATIONS button and clicking submit after selecting your shelf locations.
Other ways you can add items to a SHELF LOCATION
- During inventory, you can assign a shelf location to an upload of your scanned barcodes.
- You can use the ITMS>ITEMS bulk edit tools to edit a found set of items' SHELF LOCATION tags.
- From a locked invoice, you can click INVOICE ACTIONS>GO BACKS MAP to edit shelf locations for anything that does not have a shelf location assigned.
