To place a special order (request) for a customer, go to the customer’s record and click their REQUESTS tab.

Use the left column to search for the item you want to request.

When you find it, add it to their requests.

You can select the quantity you’re ordering, note any distributors you know you can get it from, and define it as something that needs to be proactively ordered OR something that can be caught on an upcoming FOC or that you already have coming in, and can just be set aside when it arrives.

Woah, nellie, that last part is confusing. Let's talk a little more about it:

  • If you select “add to custom order requests” as the request type, the system will add this item to your custom orders’ REVIEW REQUESTS button so you can easily find and place the order next time you’re placing a custom order.
  • If you select “catch on FOC/Preorder or check-in,” no reminder will appear in the REVIEW REQUESTS, but it WILL be added to suggested quantities if the item appears on an FOC. If the FOC has passed, it will still prompt you to set one aside when it arrives on an invoice.
