START A TRANSACTION FOR AN EXISTING CONTACT

      1. If your customer is already in Comic Shop Assistant, find their contact record by clicking the top SEARCH button, searching for them, and clicking their name.
      2. You can either create a new empty transaction for this contact by clicking NEW TRANSACTION, or you can create a new transaction for this contact OR you can click NEW TRANSACTION FROM PULLS to create a transaction that includes this contact's pulls already loaded.
      3. If your contact has a comment in their record that is marked URGENT, it will pop up before you can continue the transaction. You can dismiss this pop-up if you want the same warning to show up next time a transaction is started for this contact. Alternately, you can un-check URGENT MESSAGE if you don't want this message to show up next time you start their transaction.
      4. You will be prompted to enter your staff pin so Comic Shop Assistant knows who is ringing up your customer.

TIP: Ringing up someone from their contact record like this will include any appropriate discounts or bags and boards, depending on their contact settings.

START A TRANSACTION FOR A NEW-TO-STORE CUSTOMER

    1. If your customer is not in Comic Shop Assistant, but would like to be, you can create a new contact from  CONTACTS >  ADD CONTACT.
    2. If your customer does not want to be added to Comic Shop Assistant, you can click the ANON TRN button at the very top right of your window.
    3. You will be prompted to enter your staff pin so Comic Shop Assistant knows who is ringing up your customer.

 

 

TIP: Anonymous transactions can not take preorders or add subscriptions.

TIP: If you accidentally ring someone up as anonymous and would like to attach a contact to the transaction, you can do that by clicking TRANSACTION ACTIONS
