In order to reduce inventory updates to manageable chunks, we recommend doing inventory on some categories of products at any given time. In our store, we close for the night and then do inventory on everything for a specific category before going home. Some categories don't take that long. Others can take a while, but we arm our staff with pizza and a bunch of barcode scanners and just muscle through.
To start your get started, you'll need to create a Comic Shop Assistant inventory update project.
CREATE YOUR INVENTORY UPDATE PROJECT
- From your MORE>INVENTORY UPDATE page, click CREATE INVENTORY PROJECT in the upper right of your page.
- Select all the categories you want to include in this inventory update project. There may be categories that make sense to do together. We do Graphic Novels and Books together. You may want to do games and game supplies together. It's up to you, but give it some thought at this point. You can always add more categories after you create your inventory update project.
