Buying Collections Overview

 

To create a buying collection, start at a contact's page.

  • Click the BUYING tab.
  • Hit the ADD A COLLECTION button in the top right of the tab.

 

This will create a collection associated with this customer. You can easily get back to the collection through the customer page or by looking through the MORE > BUYING COLLECTIONS page.

 

  • Once created, you can add notes to the collection. Our shop uses the Intake Notes to make notes about the person who dropped the collection off. Intake Items Description is used to briefly describe what got dropped off (smelly boxes of modern books, or 6 binders of pokemon). Evaluation notes are anything you want to note about items you saw in the collection as you went through it. These notes are not shared with your customer unless you want to tell them about the notes.
  • Each collection has a collectionID associated with it. We use this collectionID to mark any boxes dropped off for evaluation. Just a sticky note taped to the box with the ID number and "box 1 of ###" on it helps us track our incoming collections and usually indicates to the customer that we are organized and can be trusted to track their stuff.
